You’re a knitter. You can handle a little lace in a pattern, right?
But have you ever thought about lace in winter?
We tend to think of lace as fine yarn, tiny needles, and delicate, floaty fabric.
But winter lace is a different beast.
Think warm wool, bigger needles and textured fabric.
That’s exactly what we’re exploring in the Winter Seasons Club, with the Coscair shawl designed by Eimear Earley. But this isn’t your wispy, delicate, barely-there kind of lace.
Worked in our woollen-spun Deas yarn, Coscair combines cosy winter weight with beautiful lace patterning. And because it’s worked on larger-than-usual needles, you get to explore lace stitches in a fabric that feels substantial rather than delicate.
