Have you heard of kinusaiga? It's a traditional Japanese craft that allows you to make pictures with fabric pieces without using sewing, or glue! ⁠

The craft used to be made with wooden blocks, but crafters today are choosing soft form boards that can be easily carved with a precision knife. Have you ever tried embroidery? We have a stunning selection of materials to choose from in-store and online. Here are some of our tips for ensuring amazing results every time!⁠

1. Try to use non-stretchy materials wherever possible, but if using stretchy materials, consider how this will impact your design.⁠
2. For a firm stitching surface, keep the fabric in your embroidery hoop drum-tight as you work.⁠
3. Standard embroidery thread consists of multiple strands, separate and re-combine strands depending on the level of detail required for your pattern.⁠
4. Change your needle size based on your thread size - it seems small but it can make all the difference in your end result!⁠
5. Don't be afraid to practice individual stitches on a small piece of fabric first - experiment with different amounts of strands and needle sizes until you achieve your desired look!⁠
