Workshop Customer Notice
2025 Summer Opening Times

The workshop will be closed for normal business until Tuesday 29th July 2025 while Hugo teaches the Annual Violin Making Course.

There will be no repair, service or bow re-hair work done during this time. Any emergencies will be dealt with and assessed on a case-by-case basis.

During this time the workshop is open on a limited basis by Appointment Only. For all enquiries during this time call Niamh on 086 6069135 or email [email protected].

Customer Notice - Summer 2023 Opening Times

The workshop will be closed for repairs, services and re-hairs from Monday 10th July 2023 until the end of the month as Hugo will be running the annual Violin Making Course.

The workshop will be open for sales on a limited basis by appointment only. Emergencies will be dealt with and assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Customer Notice - Summer 2022 Opening Times

The Workshop will be closed for a family celebration from Friday 24th June for a week. We will reopen on Monday 4th July.

Also, in July, Hugo will be teaching his annual Violin Making Summer Course starting from Monday 11th July. The workshop will be open on a limited basis by appointment only. There will be no repair, service, restoration or bow rehair work done during this time. Emergencies will be dealt with and assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Please be advised that as a result of the current Covid-19 restrictions the Workshop is closed for customers until the restriction level is changed by the Government.

We can still post out strings and small accessories to our customers if needed.

Notice for all Customers

During the month of July 2019 the workshop will be open by appointment only.

Hugo teaches his annual Violin Making Summer School from Monday 8th July to Friday 26th July and as a result of this there are some workshop restrictions in place during this period

The workshop will be open by appointment only.

The workshop will be closed for repair and service consultations. Emergencies will be dealt with on a case by case basis.

Bow re-hairs are normally done on Wednesdays. As Hugo will not be doing any bow re-hairs until Wednesday 7th August there may be a number of bows lined for re-hairs. Re-hairs will be completed on a first come first served basis so book your spot in the queue early!

We would also take this opportunity to thank all our clients for their custom over the years and to remind you that we advise everyone to make an appointment in advance of arriving at the workshop.
