Our final potter joining us on our 6th of the Clare Potters Market this weekend, our second co-founder and organiser is Jean Ryan Ceramics 🥳

Jean did a 3 year foundation course in arts and crafts in North Strand Dublin. She concentrated in ceramics for the 3rd year and worked with Suzanne May Pottery in The Tower in Dublin. She works at Ballymorris Pottery for the last 23 years and has studio space there also. Constantly experimenting and exploring with clay and colour, she loves inviting nature into her work and everything whimsical to create her pieces.

We are nearly there folks 🥳, less than 2 days until we open our Clare Potters Market at Ballymorris Pottery & School, County Clare, Ireland, and our next potter joining us for the weekend is Donna Ironmonger 🤗, and this is Donnas second year with us 🥳.

My inspiration is found in nature and and my designs are an exploration of form, texture and colour found in the beautiful countryside that surrounds me. I capture not only the imagery but I also try to invoke the sense of harmony and peace that the scenery gives me in my work. I specialise in handcrafted stoneware bodies and use a mixture of carefully applied layered glazes that will take you on a journey through the landscapes and seascapes found in Ireland.

My mission is to create small batch, beautiful ceramic homewares that reflect my love of nature and brings as much joy to the recipient as I have in their creation.

It's all systems too here at Ballymorris Pottery & School, County Clare, Ireland getting organised for our Clare Potters Market this weekend 13th and 14th of June 🥰, and one of our regular potters who has been with us since the beginning is Bairbre Kennedy 🥳

I enjoy making functional ceramics in a simple pared back forms. Then I add sgraffito drawings to my mugs to create unique functional art that you can use everyday

We are welcoming back, for his 2nd year with us here at our , 🥳. Philip will be here sat the 13th and Sun 14th of June from 11am - 5pm 🤗.

Philip Kenny is a designer and maker of contemporary tableware based in Limerick, Ireland. His work draws on the geometry of basic forms as a starting point for the development of a coherent minamalist design language. Scale, proportion, surface and detail are deeply considered. Aesthetics, utility and innovation are Icombined to deliver practical products with a timeless feel.

With an industrial design background Philip designs and makes using a variety of materials including wood, metal and plastics but always with ceramics always at the core of his output.

Please welcome another 1st timer to our happening THIS weekend 13th and 14th of June from 11am - 5pm 🥳.

I am a self taught potter with a love of animals and the funny side of life!. Sculpting stoneware clay with my bare hands gives each piece a character of its very own, infused with a little bit of my own heart. Wall plates and Posie Pots impressed with wild flowers from my mountain top hedgerows . My mugs are designed to give you a smile each morning , jugs and cow butter dishes set the table! We all need Art in our homes, and that art can serve a function too. My wish is that you love each piece as much as I do.
