NOVEMBER 30th ANNIVERSARY - REST IN PEACE GEORGE GLAS, WIFE AND CHILD WHOSE LIVES WERE TAKEN TONIGHT

On this very day in 1765, Captain George Glas and his wife and daughter were murdered in a mutiny not too far off the coast of Wexford. The final chapter of this dramatic and true story ended on The Muglins - a small rocky area just beyond Dalkey Island. LOVELY TRUE STORY - WHO TOOK MY BOOK ?
Lovely memory of this fun story of three years ago ;

Two days ago, this featured message was spotted in the window of Sandycove Vintage & Classics, a local shop full of interesting surprises. Monica was working away when a friend of hers, Jeanne, dropped by. She happened to have a copy of my book, Murder, Mutiny and the Muglins in her hand, put it down on the counter, continued the conversation but then walked off leaving it behind. Minutes later, another member of the staff, spotted the book, thought it was stock and quickly sold it to a grateful customer !!!! Jeanne's partner, Edward, had loved the Muglins story but now his book had disappeared. Fortunately, that little notice in the window was spotted by the author 🙂 So, today, a complimentary copy of the disappeared book was hand delivered to the shop, Monica's life was saved, Jeanne can sleep better at night, Edward has a new replacement book and all lived happily ever after.
