Finally… we’re getting somewhere!

After months of research, sample prints, different papers, sample packs and a lot of going back and forth, I’ve finally committed to the paper I’ll be using for my limited edition prints.

It might not sound like the most exciting milestone, but choosing the right paper is a big part of the process. For me, archival quality and longevity had to come first, while still finding a surface that really does justice to the photographs.

So, that decision is finally made.

Now I can move on to the fun part, narrowing down the final images, working through the sizes and editions, and actually starting to produce them.

It’s been a long process getting to this point, but I’m really happy with where it’s heading.

The limited editions are finally coming together.

A view that never gets old. Glen Head, Co. Donegal.

This view is all the more impressive when you can see the signal tower, which is just under 10m in height, giving you a true sense of the scale of the cliffs.

One thing I really enjoy is acting as a tourist information centre here at Fine Eye Gallery.

When people come in and see what we have on our doorstep, they are amazed. I love dropping itineraries for people on what to do and where to go in South West Donegal, an area full of dramatic cliffs and beautiful beaches.

Dropped off some new work to Wild Atlantic Crafts this morning! Something for everyone!

Some of the A4 & A3 framed prints ready for the wall in Fine Eye Gallery.

I always keep a few ready-made frames behind the counter to assemble on the spot if people require it. They are made in the workshop and perfectly fit the large selection of mounted prints on display in both sizes.

Takes the hassle out of looking for frames outside the gallery.

Also offering a framing service from the gallery so if people have some art, images they want framed please stop by for a chat!

Boat Quay, Bundoran.

Such a lovely spot for a dip if you get it on a sunny morning.

Will get a few of these dropped off to The Wishing Chair Bundoran soon.
