Another wonderful morning spent with the this time our craft was needle felting.

Although some were a little nervous about their needle work skills they soon discovered that this craft is much easier, and more enjoyable, than it first appears.

The session flew by, with the women all thoroughly engrossed in creating these beautiful pictures, and they agreed that it had been very relaxing. 🪡🧶🐑

🦉📢 Adult sessions like these are growing in popularity and my diary is bursting with bookings all the way to the end of the year. 🤗

And while the older groups were making soap, the younger groups were creating art on magic sponges 🫧🧽
See how I always try to stick to a theme? 🤣

They drew and colored pictures on sheets of magic sponge paper and then we used a water brush to 'paint' over the picture with water 💦

This was soooo incredibly satisfying and the kids loved watching as the different parts of the picture expanded and became 3d. Some went on and on until the whole sponge had expanded, but it really was fun to watch.

Then we all painted a picture using special watercolour paper and paints, to keep with the water theme 🤣💦🧽

Huge, HUGE excitement last night and
this evening in the older classes who did soap making 🫧🫧🫧🧼

OMG they LOVED this craft and made SO MANY!!!

It was absolutely brilliant to see boys and girls all having a blast melting, mixing colours and scents, adding petals, buds and powders, and creating beautiful soaps.
This was a BIG HIT with EVERYONE 🧼

It's such a joy to see these youngsters being so enthusiastic about making things.
And not a screen in sight 🤔🫧😁

Back in August, the night of the solar eclipse to be exact, we decided on the spur of the moment to book a night glamping in Loughcrew Megalithic Centre

We've never glamped before, and the kids weren't keen, but we thought it might be a bit of fun for the night that was in it. 🌞

The site is less than an hour away from us in and the weather that day was especially gorgeous (much like today 🌞) and that all helped to make our glamping adventure really wonderful.

We stayed in a yurt which was huge and very well equipped with plenty of beds for the four of us, plus a log burner and seating area.
Outside was a barbeque area/fire pit, with outdoor seating and the yurts were layed out far enough away from each other in a peaceful field with it's own toilet/shower block.

The site also holds separate sites for tents and campervans, plus a cute courtyard with a small coffee shop and gift shop and a playground for the little ones.

But the views are what's really special about this place, and it's peaceful way of connecting with nature.
We walked up the huge hills at the monolithic site and enjoyed the stunning 360° views during the eclipse, along with hundreds of others who had come for the evening. It really was incredible.

Then we picniced outdoors, playing games and watching the meteor shower that took place later that night. 🌠
It was such a special night and I'm so glad we decided to go.

If you haven't tried glamping before, this place is a lovely site I'd highly recommend. It has everything you need to keep things civilised 😉and I look forward to returning again some day soon. 🏕️
