The ladies of the Clogherhead women's shed loved needle felting so much when we did it before their summer break that they requested to do it again.
So last night we had a lovely session creating these beautiful pictures 😍

Just look how great these are!!!

None of the ladies is experienced at needle felting, and for most it was their first time ❤️🪡🧶

Delighted to be back crafting with the 'girls' of the Collon Cailíní for a number of weeks.

Yesterday we painted beautiful pots and filled them with flowers 🌸

The lovely ladies were delighted to create their own pretty pots and were surprised at how simple it was to paint the flowers.

Last week the two brilliant older classes had a go at full decoupage up cycle of picture frames.

First they sanded down the frames to create a rough surface, then they primed them with gesso, and then they used napkins and tissue paper to decorate the frame, adding pearls and buttons to complete the vintage look.

They lived doing this and they took home some beautiful creations.

Both older groups are thriving with lots of the children having moved up, which means there are still spaces in the younger classes for children aged 5+

This weekend him indoors and myself were supposed to be at (his Christmas present from me. The other was a voucher for restaurant so you can see I failed on all counts 🫣) but changed our minds and sold the tickets when a certain someone decided to drop in 😞
Instead we booked a last minute stay in Slieve Russell Hotel in Cavan. We stayed here years ago but had forgotten how lovely it actually is 🩵
What a classy hotel.
From the beautiful room and stunning scenery, to the incredible staff and service. A delicious meal topped it all off.
Thank you for saving our weekend away!
We'll definitely be returning sooner this time 😁

After a lovely long summer break it was fantastic to return to craft club this week!

We've had a BLAST!

This week the junior classes have designed their own marble maze games, a really pojpular craft with everyone I think, where they got to be creative and warm up those imaginations again 😍

We've had such a brilliant week 🩵🩷💚

4-5.30 for the 5+ group
6-7.30 for the 9+ group

Another great session with the ladies of the making gorgeous soaps 🧼🫧🧼🛀🏼

Such a lovely session, melting, mixing adding scents and petals etc, so relaxing.

Thanks to Louth Local Development for funding these classes. We've two more weeks of fun still to come.
