Am I the only one who finds this completely bizarre?

In France, people now face some of the toughest restrictions in Europe around nic pouches.

In Thailand, you can get into serious trouble for vap ing.

In Australia, adults need a prescription to access ni****ne v**ee products.

Yet in all of these countries, ci******es remain widely available.

Whether you agree or disagree with v**ee or pouches, surely it’s fair to ask the question:

Why are lower-risk alternatives facing harsher restrictions than the product responsible for millions of smoking-related deaths worldwide?

Make it make sense.

What do you think?

Yesterday I told you France had banned nic pouches.

What I didn’t tell you was just how far they’ve gone.

Under the new rules, people caught with nic pouches could face massive fines and, in some cases, even prison sentences.

Think about that for a second…

A Swedish person who has used snus or pouches for years as an alternative to smoking could potentially get into serious legal trouble just for having them in France.

Meanwhile, ci******es remain legal.

Whether you’re for or against pouches, it’s hard to understand how a smoke-free product is treated more harshly than products that involve burning to***co.

What do you think? Is this protecting public health, or does it make no sense at all?

France is moving to ban pouches, yet ci******es remain widely available.

One product creates smoke, tar and combustion. The other doesn’t.

Whether you use pouches or not, it’s fair to ask: should lower-risk alternatives be treated the same as the products that cause the most harm?

Adults deserve access to accurate information and better choices.

What do you think – does this policy make sense?

One of the questions I get asked most is: “What v**e do you actually use?”

For the last while, I’ve been using the Uwell Typhos Pro, and honestly, it’s one of the best pod kits I’ve used.

✔ Huge battery life
✔ Large pod capacity
✔ Easy top-fill design
✔ Fantastic flavour production
✔ Reliable all-day v**e

As someone who tries a lot of different devices, this is the one I keep reaching for.

If you’re looking for a simple, powerful v**e that delivers great flavour without the hassle, the Typhos Pro is definitely worth checking out.

Available now at OBV**e.ie 🇮🇪

Here’s our statement following recent comments about va**ng in Drogheda.

We fully support:
• strict age verification
• proper regulation
• strong penalties for underage sales

We do not support youth va**ng.

But after 7+ years operating as a family-run business in Drogheda, we also believe adult ex-smokers who switched to va**ng deserve to have their voices heard too.

We’ve publicly invited Michelle Hall to spend a day with us at OB V**e to see how we operate and meet adults who feel va**ng helped them quit smoking.

Please respectfully contact Michelle Hall and share your va**ng story if va**ng helped you move away from ci******es.

Why sit in traffic burning time and fuel when there’s a smarter way? 🚗❌

Imagine this — park up in Navan, Duleek or the Donore Retail Park, hop on a clean, comfortable train, and be in Drogheda station in minutes… then straight on to Dublin, Belfast, or anywhere along the line 🚆

No stress. No congestion. No sitting in queues.

Just a simple, reliable journey that actually makes sense.

This isn’t just about transport — it’s about building a better way to live. Less cars, cleaner air, more time back in your day, and a real connection between our towns.

We already have the line. We already have the space.

So the real question is… why aren’t we using it? 🤔

They’re talking about banning v**e flavours again tomorrow…

Let’s be very clear about what that actually means 👇

Adults who quit smoking using flavours like strawberry, mango, menthol —
are now being told: “No, go back to to***co flavour… or figure it out.”

Meanwhile…
You can walk into Dunnes and buy vodka that tastes like sweets
You can still buy ci******es in every shop in Ireland

But the one thing that’s helped thousands of people get off smoking?
That’s the problem?

Make it make sense.

This isn’t about protecting people.
It’s about control — and it’s completely disconnected from reality.

Flavours are the reason people switch.
Take them away and what happens?

➡️ People go back to smoking
➡️ Black market explodes
➡️ Real harm increases

We’ve already seen this play out in other countries.

Ireland should be leading harm reduction — not going backwards.

At what point do we trust adults to make their own decisions?

If you’ve ever used va**ng to quit smoking — this affects you.

Speak up. Share this. Don’t stay quiet.

Spent the last few days following the Drogheda → Navan railway line from start to finish…

Not walking it — driving from point to point, stopping along the way to see what’s actually still there.

Started in Beauparc at the old level crossing.
That little house beside it? That used to be the station — still standing, still class.

Then over to Platin… — a HOBS train comes through on the line.
On a railway most people think is completely dead.

It’s not.

From there, I kept going, stopping off along the route and eventually ending up in Navan station.

Completely abandoned.
But the track is still there… and it was only used up until 2022 for Tara Mines.

That’s the mad part.

This line wasn’t ripped up.
It wasn’t destroyed.
It’s literally just… sitting there.

We talk about traffic, commuting, growth —
but there’s already a railway connecting Drogheda and Navan.

So the question is…

why aren’t we using it? 🤔

Hear me out… 👀

What if Drogheda didn’t just add a train stop…
What if we built something around it?

A proper hub.
Shops. Cafes. Playgrounds. Green space. Apartments.
A place people actually want to be — not just pass through.

Look at places like Japan 🇯🇵 — their train stations aren’t just stations, they’re communities. Everything is built around them. Less cars, less traffic, more life.

We already have the line.
We already have the space.
We just need to start thinking differently.

This isn’t about trains…
It’s about what Drogheda could become 🚆🔥
