I was featured in a short snippet on Radio Nova discussing the proposed v**e flavour ban — and why I genuinely believe Ireland is about to make a huge mistake.

This is not about “protecting children”. Everyone agrees young people should not be va**ng. Full stop.

But banning flavours for adults is not balance. It is bad policy.

According to a Red C poll, 1 in 3 v**ers say they would go back smoking if flavours are banned.

Think about that.

A flavour ban could push thousands of adults away from va**ng and back towards ci******es — the exact opposite of what public health policy should be trying to achieve.

The real issue is not adult flavours.

The real issue is poor enforcement against the minority of sellers who sell to underage people.

So instead of punishing adult smokers and ex-smokers who rely on flavoured v**es to stay away from ci******es, Ireland should be doing this:

âś… harsher penalties for underage sales
âś… proper enforcement
âś… test purchasing
âś… licence removal for repeat offenders
âś… serious action against illegal sellers
âś… education, not lazy bans

We need balance.

Protect young people, absolutely.

But don’t destroy one of the most effective alternatives adult smokers have found.

A flavour ban sounds simple.
But simple does not mean smart.

Ireland needs enforcement, not prohibition.

A recent Red C survey found that around one in three former smokers who v**e say they would return to smoking if v**e flavours are banned.

Applied nationally, that could mean roughly 60,000 Irish adults returning to ci******es if the proposed flavour ban goes ahead.

Surely there has to be a better way.

Nobody wants ni****ne products ending up in the hands of children. The retailers who sell to underage customers should face tougher enforcement, bigger penalties and stronger regulation.

But adults who have successfully switched from smoking deserve to be part of the conversation too.

Why not focus on balance?

âś… Tougher enforcement against underage sales
âś… More inspections and penalties for rogue retailers
âś… Stronger age verification online and in-store
âś… Keep products away from young people
âś… Protect adult smokers who have switched

Public health policy should reduce smoking, not risk pushing people back towards it.

🚨 THIS IS HAPPENING TONIGHT 🚨

Tonight, the Dáil is discussing the next stage of legislation that could dramatically change the future of va**ng and ni****ne pouches in Ireland.

Let that sink in for a second.

🍺 Adults can buy alcohol.
🚬 Adults can buy ci******es.
đź’Š Adults can buy products containing codeine.

But the Government is pushing ahead with restrictions that could remove many of the v**e flavours and ni****ne pouch products that thousands of Irish adults choose instead of smoking.

And now ni****ne pouches are being pulled into the conversation too.

🤯 How does that make sense?

This isn’t just about flavours.

⚠️ It’s about adult choice.
⚠️ It’s about harm reduction.
⚠️ It’s about Irish jobs and small businesses.
⚠️ It’s about the thousands of people who have successfully moved away from smoking.

Whether you v**e, use ni****ne pouches, own a business, or simply believe adults should be trusted to make informed decisions, this matters.

📢 If you care about this issue, now is not the time to stay silent.

âś… Watch the video.
âś… Share it.
âś… Tag your friends.
âś… Contact your local TD.

The people making these decisions need to hear from the people who will actually be affected by them.

🇮🇪 The discussion is happening tonight.

Make your voice heard.

You can buy flavoured alcohol.

You can buy flavoured energy drinks.

You can buy flavoured sweets.

But the Irish Government wants to remove flavours from products that many adults use instead of ci******es.

94% of our adult customers choose flavours.

Does that sound logical to you?

Am I the only one who finds this completely bizarre?

In France, people now face some of the toughest restrictions in Europe around nic pouches.

In Thailand, you can get into serious trouble for vap ing.

In Australia, adults need a prescription to access ni****ne v**ee products.

Yet in all of these countries, ci******es remain widely available.

Whether you agree or disagree with v**ee or pouches, surely it’s fair to ask the question:

Why are lower-risk alternatives facing harsher restrictions than the product responsible for millions of smoking-related deaths worldwide?

Make it make sense.

What do you think?

Yesterday I told you France had banned nic pouches.

What I didn’t tell you was just how far they’ve gone.

Under the new rules, people caught with nic pouches could face massive fines and, in some cases, even prison sentences.

Think about that for a second…

A Swedish person who has used snus or pouches for years as an alternative to smoking could potentially get into serious legal trouble just for having them in France.

Meanwhile, ci******es remain legal.

Whether you’re for or against pouches, it’s hard to understand how a smoke-free product is treated more harshly than products that involve burning to***co.

What do you think? Is this protecting public health, or does it make no sense at all?

France is moving to ban pouches, yet ci******es remain widely available.

One product creates smoke, tar and combustion. The other doesn’t.

Whether you use pouches or not, it’s fair to ask: should lower-risk alternatives be treated the same as the products that cause the most harm?

Adults deserve access to accurate information and better choices.

What do you think – does this policy make sense?

One of the questions I get asked most is: “What v**e do you actually use?”

For the last while, I’ve been using the Uwell Typhos Pro, and honestly, it’s one of the best pod kits I’ve used.

âś” Huge battery life
âś” Large pod capacity
âś” Easy top-fill design
âś” Fantastic flavour production
âś” Reliable all-day v**e

As someone who tries a lot of different devices, this is the one I keep reaching for.

If you’re looking for a simple, powerful v**e that delivers great flavour without the hassle, the Typhos Pro is definitely worth checking out.
