Hi everyone, we hope you are all well and are planning a great Easter weekend 🙂

A slightly longer post than normal, in the circumstances I hope you will understand!!🙂

As everyone might know, today is our last full day of trading here in West Street, after an amazing journey since 1st October 1977, and myself personally since 1994. It will be with an extremely heavy heart I close the door this evening 😞😞 I could easily write a book about everything that has happened here in that time, but that is for another day!

I will still be here for the next couple of weekends (at least) into April, working in the background sorting out a few things....if you need to contact the shop, just message us directly on this FB page, and I will sort it out for you. To all our amazing, amazing customers (all over the world in fact, and there are many!) and neighbouring shops and staff here in West Street, I thank you all, we have been humbled by the messages of good will over the last few weeks, you are all awesome!! ❤❤ Please continue to support our neighbours, they all offer a service second to none!

I will add a few more shorter posts here over the next few days.....

I cannot end this particular post without mentioning two amazing people in particular.

Esther, who came to work with me in the last couple of years. She has truly been a fantastic person to work with and able to deal with everything and everyone since day one! I will really miss working with Esther and that’s for sure❤️ Thank you Esther for everything! You are amazing!

I leave the final words in this post to acknowledge the one person, Patricia, that has stuck with me through absolute thick and thin, and I mean that in literally every sense of the word, since 1998, 26 years ago. I find it impossible really to put into words how important she has been to me and to the shop, working incredibly hard, dealing with all of our amazing customers over the years, and putting up with me for so long. I will miss working with her terribly 😕😕. I can’t really say more than that…I’m very lucky to have had her join me here all those years ago 😕😕 This could be a much longer post, but I will leave at that, I have been blessed to have worked with her here. Thank you Patricia ❤❤

After that, all I can say is Thank You everyone 😊😊...and I hope to still see some of you in town here into the future!

Hi everyone. I just need to update our page with a (slightly longer) post that certainly doesn’t bring me any joy in posting. 😞😞

For the last few weeks, I have been advising everyone connected to Homeflair of my decision to wind things down here, after over 46 years trading in West Street. It is certainly one of the hardest decisions I have had to make, ever.

We will officially stop trading on Easter Saturday at 6 pm.

In 2019, just before the second Fleadh, I was blessed (in every sense of the word!) to start working full time as Retail Manager in one of the most spiritually and historically important buildings in Dublin, Christ Church Cathedral. This continues to be an incredible experience and I am lucky to be part of an amazing team that works there, as well allowing me to continue work with companies and individuals I have known for many, many years.

However, doing both things requires a huge time commitment, and not having any spare time to do other things, hence this very difficult decision.

I will update the page with lots more info over the coming weeks, with many acknowledgments to everyone involved in my time here.
