Hello September. 🤍

A new month begins.

For some, September will simply be the start of a new season.
But for others, this month may hold memories — a birthday, an anniversary, or a date that brings a much-loved person to mind.

Today, we light a candle in remembrance of the special people who may no longer be here, but who will always remain in our hearts. 🕯️🤍

And if you know someone for whom September holds a special date, let this be your little reminder to reach out.

You don’t need to know the exact date.
You don’t need to find the perfect words.

A simple “Thinking of you this month” can mean more than you know.

Or send them one of our Comfort Cards — a little reminder that their loved one is remembered, and that they are thought of too.

Because sometimes, remembering matters most. 🤍

Bank holidays can make grief feel much heavier. When our normal routines stop, the quiet spaces give our minds more room to focus on the loss. If you are grieving this weekend, please love yourself a little harder—just like Donna Ashworth reminds us to do. Be incredibly gentle with your heart.
To everyone else: let’s mind one another. Look out for the bereaved in your life. Reach out, send a text, send a card and say their person's name. A small gesture helps carry the weight of a quiet weekend. 🤍

💙 A Gentle Father's Day Reminder 💙
As Father's Day approaches this Sunday, many families will be celebrating. But for others, the day may bring sadness, longing, or heartache as they remember... a father, husband, son, grandfather, or someone deeply loved.
A Father missing their child 💙

If someone comes to mind this week, please consider reaching out. A simple message, phone call, or card can remind them that they are not alone and that their loved one is remembered too.

At Good Grief Ireland, we believe that small acts of kindness can bring great comfort. Our thoughtful comfort cards are designed to let someone know you're thinking of them when words can be hard to find.

With Father's Day fast approaching, our handwritten card service is still available, and any orders placed by tomorrow will be posted tomorrow.

Also remember All Seasons Flowers in Lucan and The Tranquil Tearooms in Deansgrange cemetery both carry stock of our cards for anyone near those areas.
