Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported local businesses yesterday at The Well.🤍 you don’t know how much it means to us!
I had an amazing time, can’t wait to be back to this awesome venue, I hope to come back in the new year, so keep your fingers crossed and your eyes peeled.

I have two more markets booked on the next two Sundays - so if you’d like to get a replushie for your soft-toy lover friend/family member, you still have a chance!🥰

Today’s replushie is very special for me. Please meet Dorothy🐰
November is diabetes awareness month, and today is the international diabetes day🎉
💙our colour is blue, so is Dorothy💙
As some of you know, I got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes almost 5 years ago and it turned my life upside down. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease that is usually known as the “bad type” or the one that only kids can get diagnosed with. None of that is true. There’s no “bad type” cause that would mean there must be a “good type” too 🤔I was 25 when I was told I will be insulin dependent for the rest of my life, no matter what I do, and even though I LOVED sugar growing up, it’s nothing to do with my consumption of it. I could go on and on about this, because I genuinely believe it’s my responsibility to raise awareness of this horrible disease, but I also don’t want to bore you all with it, so please just remember:

DON’T JUDGE DIABETICS

Most of us isn’t at fault here, we deal with it the best we can and it’s daunting as is…we don’t need other peoples input on how we should live our lives.

I’m super excited to show you my newest creations.
This little guy is Bart, the Christmas snail. Yes, that’s a thing!🙃
(I mean…don’t tell Bart…it actually isn’t, but we don’t wanna break his heart do we?!)

His shell was a jumper once and his body is a piece of an old bedsheet.
As you can see, he comes with a tiny Santa hat by 🤍
You can easily removed the hat for the rest of the year if you like, but who doesn’t need a Christmas snail all year round??

It’s the spookiest time of the year so I decided to come up with a brand new replush.ie🦇🦇🦇
He was named Boo by my dearest cousin - cause “this time of the year is so scary and stuff”🙃
I have to admit, Boo is one of my favourite projects so far. I love Halloween, I like a challenge and I definitely love it when I get to put wires into my creations so they’re a little bit more lifelike🖤
He’s made out of an old (somewhat) fluffy fleece jumper and the inside of the wings are lined with pieces of a leathery kinda pair of trousers.
The filling is from old pillows, as usual.

Let me introduce you to Troy the s***m whale. 🐋🐋🐋
Troy, as well as all my other whales are made out of old jeans (dark grey and black) and stuffed with old pillow stuffing. His eyes and mouth are embroidered on by hand. He is gigantic, almost 50cm long, so perfect for cuddles 🤍
I was commissioned to create him as an early Christmas present (shoutout to all the organised moms🤘🏻) so he is not for sale, but if you’d like to get a super s***m whale like Troy, feel free to DM me. 💌

They are also extremely soft and warm, and beautifully handmade in Ireland!

What do I use for stuffing my plushies you ask?
Well it is usually old pillow stuffing, but there’s another option:
GOTS certified organic cotton off cuts!
This is coming from my sister .at who makes amazing reusable makeup removal pads/facial pads/nursing pads (check her Etsy shop 😉) and instead of binning these small bits, she uses them as stuffing when she sends me presents🥰 could not be any more zero waste than that!

I usually keep this type of stuffing for special orders. For example if you’d like to get a replush.ie for younger person 🙃 it’s definitely something I’d recommend.

Hey beautiful friends🥰
Just a quick post to say thanks to everyone who helped me pick the outfit for this little one. I’m happy with the results, I would’ve gone for the button up shirt if it was up to me, but you were all right, she needed a dress…Hope you like her too.🥹The bunny itself is made out of a grey top, the ears and shirt is some off cut fabric I got from a free cycle group, and the purple is a snippet of an old fitted sheet. Stuffed with love and pillow fillings.

Now onto the next project, don’t worry I’ll keep you posted😉
