The Globe Market meets the maker ❤️
The Bag Trader has had an exceptionally busy year, collecting an array of stunning leather bags from across the globe, complimented with gorgeous accessories.
Preferring to buy products from source wherever possible, ensuring high quality and design. Checking too that social and ethical ethical standards are complied with during manufacture.
Products are Fair Trade and reach Sedex standards.
Scrumptious leather bags from small manufactures in Florence. Luscious cashmere wool shawls in a dazzling collection of colours from the wonderful Rabindra, whose family have been hand weaving shawls for generations. The cashmere scarves can also be used beautifully as throws.
Close to The Bagtraders heart, is supporting the people of Palestine. To do so, she is importing Original Hirbawi Keffiyehs which are the last and only weavers of this tradition in Palestine. Through purchasing these Keffiyehs (kufiyas) The Bagtrader says “We are directly supporting a community in dire need of employment as well as helping preserve a national tradition and craft."

The Globe Market meets the maker ❤️
Ubumba is the Zulu word for clay. Lightweight polymer clay adornments for the ears handmade in Bray, Co. Wicklow, inspired by a childhood in Africa.
The creator, Maryam Paruk, is a Pharmacist by profession who decided to set up ubumba over lockdown as a creative outlet. At the heart of this brand is a fusion of colour and culture. Maryam is Irish-South African-Indian and wanted to set up a small business to recognise the cultural diversity that exists in Ireland. A core value of ubumba is “ubumbana”; unity through acceptance. To celebrate our differences, each piece is one-of-a-kind and comes in a vibrant range of patterns, shapes and sizes.
The earrings are sustainably slow made using a zero-waste policy; all leftover scraps are re-worked to make unique marbled creations. All packaging is eco-friendly and recyclable.
Guaranteed to add a pop of colour to any outfit. All pieces can be found on her Etsy site: etsy.com/ie/shop/ubumba & use the code TREAT10 for 10% off until midnight tonight 🎃

MASKS FOR
Over the past few months, my boyfriends Mum, Ann has been super busy making masks for all her friends & family and a few weeks ago decided, with our help, that she’d like to raise money for the Laura Lynn foundation.
Masks, which are all machine washable with 3 layers of cotton, cost €10 plus €3 postage and ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO DIRECTLY to (we won’t be keeping a cent)
As we wont be able to keep up with huge demand, we will only be able to start with 30 orders so we suggest moving fast!
HOW TO ORDER ⬇️
🥰Swipe left and you’ll find the masks individually numbered. You’ll also find a picture with different numbered materials and masks can be made to order using these.
🥰Send us a DM with what numbered mask you’d like along with your email address and we’ll send you a payment link!
🥰Once your masks are made, we’ll pop them in the post. It’s as easy as that.
ABOUT ❤️

The Globe Market meets the maker ❤️Wild Rose Botanicals is a husband + wife soap making duo whose story is so much more than soap + suds.
Rachel is originally from bright and sunny southern California brought to Ireland as a single mom studying abroad who fell in love with a charming and handsome Irish man named Rob who had some kiddos himself and they joined forces and have since added three more sweet babes to their Irish Brady bunch clan.
They share a deep connection for a natural + simple life filled with art, the outdoors, and using their hands to create. They had a stirring passion to expand their knowledge and a thirst for a new and shared creative outlet so they decided to try their hand at soap making. The rest is history!
Their family thrives on the importance of living a natural and chemical free life, and making handmade products is their way of sharing their passion and introducing others to skincare that is organic, cleansing, beneficial and beautiful without harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients! They believe that there is nothing more rewarding than creating a lovely product that will help others achieve their goal of living a healthier + natural lifestyle.

The Globe Markets Meet the Maker ⬇️ I’m Sarah, a designer and Illustrator, wife and mammy. I graduated from NCAD many moons ago and worked in branding for a long time which I loved. Then when my 3rd little boy was born, the time came to leave my job for a while. This is how DOTTERSON came about.
I always loved pattern and colour. My work is big and bold with Irish humour and culture at the heart of it. I love a bit of gaeilge or an everyday word or phrase that is inherently Irish. As a designer in branding I was very used to briefs and deadlines so I enjoy the sense of freedom in the creative processes of my own work. I do a lot of hand drawn and painted type. For each new piece, I start with a loose idea of what I want to achieve but then go to town drawing freehand patterns with no idea how they will appear in the finished piece, which I love. Sarah’s work is available from dotterson.bigcart & you can check out her page for more designs ❤️
