Whilst the cluster ring remains a jewellery fan favourite- this Edwardian diamond cluster halo ring bridges the two styles.

If I were to imagine a ring which visually embodies a time period so flawlessly, this may be the one. The decorative scrolling on the shoulders allows the ring to quietly show off in true Edwardian style. Historically speaking, the Edwardian period favoured a sense of visual lightness, which if you look closely this ring has, as the decorative shoulders soften the look of the yellow gold metal. As well, the 12 stone halo surrounding the centre diamond adds to this airy look on the finger by creating gaps around the Old European cut diamond. So now you too can see how this ring has married the classic diamond cluster with the halo ring!

The band is stamped 18kt yellow gold. Estimated 1.32cctw. The ring is currently sized to an R 1/2, but can be sized.

This ring is priced at €9,950 online and in-store at Courtville.

The three stone arguably belongs to one of the most traditional categories of jewellery. Over a hundred years later, I think the three stone will always remain a classic!

This ring, placed in an original Edwardian yellow gold basket, actually has a very versatile design. And this piece comes not only with years of history, but craftsmanship which is hard to find in newer pieces. One of the many pros of loving antique jewellery! The hand-cut old mine cut diamonds bring character to the ring, and they truly display a show of brilliance and fire.

The stylistic choice to set stones in threes actually reveals some historical interest. During the Georgian period, the three stone form became established, and the Victorians then used stones to share messages, hence the REGARD ring. And this Edwardian three stone has its own special message, like every antique ring. The Edwardian three stones were perfectly suited the craftsmanship of the time, and the yellow gold setting perfectly compliments the light reflected through the stone.

Claw-set with three cushion-shaped old mine-cut diamonds, on an 18kt gold ‘tested’ polished hoop, centre stone estimated 1.30ct, side stones estimated total carat weight 1.40ct, the diamonds have been assessed by our in-house gemologists, and we estimate that the centre diamond is faint yellow, VS/SI clarity, the side diamonds we estimate as I/J colour, VS/SI clarity, finger size J1/2 (sizable).

This ring is currently available in store and online at Courtville for €15,950.

Perfect standing alone or in a stack, this late Victorian diamond ring speaks for itself.

Perhaps simplistic at first glance, it is the workmanship of this antique ring which makes it so special. I absolutely love the beaded pave setting with gold bead spacers throughout, and find them quite unusual. They really give the ring more visual depth, and enhance the already beautiful hand crafted old mine cut diamonds…. all twenty one of them!

This ring truly is a testament to the details of late Victorian jewellery, and the beads lift and separate the stones, allowing the light from the diamonds and yellow gold draw the eye along the width of the ring. And to make this ring even more exciting, the Victorian setting grounds the ring in history!

The three row rectangular head is set with twenty-one mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1ct total. Supported by an openwork gallery, the ring is flanked by shoulders tapering to a plain polished band, tested 18kt rose gold, circa 1880.

This piece is currently priced at €3,950 online and in-store at Courtville.

Whilst we love Colombian emeralds, sometimes it’s easy to forget how their beauty begins in the ground 💎

There is a reason why the Colombian emerald stands the test of time against any other, and the light green hue of this stone shows how their reputation has quietly remained over time. The character and visual appearance of this stone requires only a quick glance to capture your eye!
