History on our doorstep.

Often referred to as the "First Titanic", the Tayleur hit the rocks on Lambay, on her maiden voyage, on 21 January 1854 with the loss of over 300 lives.

On Friday 24th January, there will be a performance of Ocean Child in the Lark Theatre Balbriggan recounting the tragic shipwreck of the RMS Tayleur in 1854, those performing include the West Ocean String Quartet, Louise and Michelle Mulcahy with Stephen Rea narrating.

An early start this morning of a great group of twelve girls from Swords on a Walking Tour.
Most of them went in for a swim in the harbour after the walk.

Today's delivery. Fifty bags of flaked oats and high energy nuts for the new mothers. Gives them a boost after lambing. The newborn lambs are kept indoors for a night or two to give them a good start.

Second Walking Tour of 2023 done ✔️ We had four brave swimmers in the harbour today and everyone enjoyed their day.

We did our first Walking Tour of 2023 yesterday. Twenty three guests really enjoyed the experience and seven braved the cold water for a swim in the harbour. Eamon McGrattan
