Acknowledgement from the family of the late Annie McKevitt - R.I.P.

Annie's family - Sarah, Brian, Pauline, Teresa, Geraldine, Charlie, Catherine, Bridget, Bernadette and Michael, along with her extended family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who supported them in the recent bereavement of their much-loved Mother, Annie.

Thanks to all who sent mass cards, messages and floral tributes.
Dr Flood and all the staff in cornmarket surgery for their kindness and support throughout Annie's life and especially in Annie’s end-care, NHS Care Team who visited and attended Annie daily, NHS nurses and district nurses who attended Annie, Acute care team for their tender care and compassion to Annie throughout her care. Our thanks to the staff of Daisy Hill Hospital for their attentive care to Annie over the past years.

A sincere debt of thanks to Rev Fr Naughton for his frequent pastoral visits to the house and to Father Patrick (Dominican) for their care and comforting prayers in Annie's final weeks. Rev Fr Naughton for the beautiful celebration of Annie's funeral Mass and a special thank you to Rev Fr McKevitt, Annie’s nephew, who concelebrated the funeral mass. Thanks to all who took part in the liturgy, especially Mary McCabe for the beautiful hymns sung at Annie's Mass.

A special mention to Alison from A Malcolm Hair, Banbridge for her dignified work which she had shown to Annie throughout her last years.

Also to Annie's sons-in-laws, grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces and close family friends who supported her during her repose, we are eternally grateful.

To the Diamonds (Warrenpoint), Strandfield (Ballymacscanlon), Hughes (Camlough) and
Quails (Banbridge) for their generous food supplies.
To the Carrickdale Hotel and their fantastic staff for providing food during the wake and for the funeral meal.

A special thanks to McGennity Funeral Directors who took care of Annie's funeral arrangements in such a dignified manner.

Annie's Month's Memory Mass will be held on Sunday 20th September in the church of the Sacred Heart, Cloughoge at 10am.

From Bray to the biggest stages in boxing, Katie has carried Irish sport with determination, humility and pride.

Around 80,000 people are expected to be there as she faces Flora Pili in what will be one of the biggest nights Irish boxing has ever seen.

From Bray to Olympic gold, undisputed world titles and unforgettable nights on the biggest stages, Katie has given Irish sport some of its greatest moments.
