Join artist Emily Thompson for her next Dunmanway Themed needle felting workshop in Dunmanway ⭐

This promises to be a fun, creative and woolly workshop! Explore the medium of wood in this textile art form. Learn to manipulate your material into a scene of your choice into a beautiful Dunmanway or surrounds landscape. Bring your own image to work from or work with Emily's provided imagery. All materials provided, just bring yourself!

When: Saturday 22nd August, 11am - 1.30pm

Where: Le Chéile Arts Dunmanway, P47 NX47

Cost: €50

Spaces are limited, please book early to get involved and avoid disappointment.

Presented by Elizabeth Mee Morrissey in association with Poetry Ireland.

Join us for a free poetry event and talk on Wild Bees in the Garden with horticulturalist Ailish Neville in the heart of West Cork.

REGISTRATION IS ESSENTIAL by e-mailing [email protected].

We invite you to send a photo of your favourite outdoor space and a few lines of poetry about it for inclusion in a collaborative poetry project, "Our Home, Their Hive."

A worthwhile event to visit tomorrow if you are able to! With the wonderful artist Aisling Roche

FREE EVENT
In Conversation with Aisling Roche and Dorota Borowa Sunday 28 June at 12 noon.

Aisling will be discussing her exhibition ‘Nacria’ with fellow artist Dorota, both inspired by fragile marine ecosystems.

Nacria takes its name from nacre, or mother-of-pearl, the iridescent substance formed gradually within seashells as a protective response. This process becomes a guiding metaphor throughout the exhibition, inviting viewers to reflect on the fragility of the marine world and our shared responsibility to protect it.
