But is it all legal ? This is a frequent question we get asked on our often heavily modified demo cars. The Jimny’s CVRT was due to expire while I was away in France so I spun over to the test centre before I went away. To answer the question, Yes ! It sailed through its test. So our Jimny has an ARB winch bumper with and ARB winch and two 9 inch Solis spots on it. It has an ARB rack with Nacho utility lights and an ARB light bar. It has Old Man Emu suspension, 16 inch wheels and 235/R70 16 BF Goodrich KO2 tyres. So what are you waiting for ? Other than us getting back from France of course.

My original plan was to spend time exploring the Loire Valley seeing a different side of France than I normally go to. Been here two days, time to go find some mountains 😂😂😂

We have had some fabulous Jimny’s through the Buckled Wheel workshop and with Kevin from O' Brien Motors who fits after market ARB products including suspension, lights and bumpers. It is exciting to see a much expanded stock range for the Jimny coming online for 2027 at Buckled Wheel.

That’s a wrap for summer season six at Buckled Wheel. We have a last post office run on Monday afternoon if you need to order anything and then we are back at the workshop on the 12th October. We are a small cog in the rapidly growing overlanding / 4x4 / roof tenting scene in Ireland and cannot really express fully how much your support and custom means to us at Buckled Wheel, it has been an incredible summer again with the undoubted highlight the Fethard Camp Out in August. A special mention to our rapidly growing Jimny community 🙌 showing the bigger boys how it is done ! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you for all of your support this summer and I promise we will be back for the winter bigger and better with an exciting new line up for season seven in 2027 !

The ARB Intrepid thermal liners are now in stock ready for your winter camping trips. These can be left in the tent when you close them, ours is already installed ready for the ‘Haute Alps’

After another incredible summer at Buckled Wheel it is time for a break and a road trip. Friday 28th and Saturday 29th of August are our last days in the workshop with our last day for internet orders Sunday 30th August. If you still have tents or gear to collect that is ordered we will be in touch to arrange a time for this week to collect.
