Best of luck to everyone taking on the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle tomorrow! 🚴💛

We’re always delighted to welcome cyclists to Golden’s, and tomorrow is one of our favourite days of the year as hundreds of riders pass through Kells.

We’ll be ready for any cyclists making a well-earned pit stop. Whether you’re looking for a quick coffee, something to eat, or a few refreshments for the road ahead, we’ve got you covered:
☕ Grocery shop open from 7:00am
🍳 Café breakfast breaks served from 8:30am
🥪 Sandwiches, tea & coffee, cold drinks, and plenty of homemade baking to keep you fuelled for the ride ahead

Summer is here! ☀️ So for the season, we’re matching the longer evenings with longer café hours… open 8:30am - 5pm, seven days a week.

Join us for breakfast until 12 noon, enjoy lunch with last hot food orders at 4pm, or call in anytime for a coffee and one of our homemade cakes or sweet treats to enjoy in the café or take away.

We’ve had some lovely feedback on our breakfasts recently, with another Google review last week saying we had the “nicest veggie breakfast ever” 🫶

From a traditional Irish breakfast to smoked salmon, homemade granola, pancakes, or eggs just the way you like them, there’s something for every taste (and every appetite!) ☕🍳🥞

Our cafe is open seven days a week, serving breakfast from 8:30am - 12noon, so whether you’re starting a day on the Ring of Kerry, back from a Greenway stroll, or just taking your time over a coffee and the view, we look forward to welcoming you soon!

Some good local news… delighted that Kells Beach has once again been awarded Blue Flag status for 2026!

We’re lucky to have this beautiful spot just on our doorstep. Whether you’re heading for a swim or taking in the views, it’s well worth a visit this summer.

And if you’re passing through Kells for a beach stop, you know where to find the ice cream & coffee after 😉
