Sharing some close ups for the lovely rocking horse we recently worked on.

Before ➡️ After

This restoration involved structural repairs, careful wood restoration, fresh paintwork, and new leather details to make sure it could be enjoyed safely for years to come.

We nearly said no to this project, but we’re glad we didn’t. Seeing a family heirloom restored and ready to be passed down again is exactly why we love what we do.

Started with good intentions, but life got in the way.

This piece arrived partially stripped back, with the hard work started but not finished. We stepped in to complete the restoration, bringing out the natural beauty of the wood and giving it the finish it deserved.

No paint. No fuss. Just beautiful timber allowed to shine.

This one feels a little different.

It’s destined for a new home, and more importantly, it’s going to be the focal point of the room. No pressure then… 👀

We’ve fallen completely in love with this inspiration and are setting ourselves the challenge of recreating the look — rich wood tones, deep olive green and beautiful brass details.

The vision is clear. The reality? You’ll have to follow along..

We almost said no to this restoration.

Then we heard the story.

This rocking horse had been part of the family for generations, and the hope was that it could be enjoyed by grandchildren for years to come.

The brief was simple: save it, while keeping its character and history intact.

We carried out structural repairs to the legs, restored the woodwork, replaced the leatherwork, and gave it a fresh finish to prepare it for its next chapter.

And then came the most special detail ❤️

The mane and tail were made using hair from the family’s own pony.

From treasured memories to future adventures, this rocking horse is ready for a new generation.

This is why we love furniture restoration and giving family heirlooms a second life.
