We are avid cyclists that love the science of mechanology and kinesiology, the autonomy and free movement of the bicycle and the cyclist. Our boutique bicycle shop, repair center and bicycle maintenance course center is located at 11 Patrick Street, Limerick City. At Evolution Cycles we do not believe in leaving

anyone out, there is no preferential treatment, whether you are an enthusiastic beginner or an elite level cyclist we will provide the best service your bike has ever experienced. We provide the highest quality service by the highest trained CyTech mechanic, with a B.Sc in Sports Science, Cycling Ireland Coach and British Cycling Coach, whether you’re getting your bike serviced or getting yourself fitted to your bike you know you are in the best hands. We pride ourselves in our quality service, and any bike brought in to the shop before 12 will be repaired, serviced and ready for collection the same day - unless we need to order parts.

Mountain biking has a funny way of escalating 😅

One minute it’s:
‘Just a quick spin.’

Long before cycling became power meters, Strava segments and carbon fibre…

there were loaded panniers,
paper maps,
quiet roads,
and the simple idea of seeing where the day would take you.

My parents touring Europe together on a tandem.

I think growing up around this kind of adventure is probably why bikes have always meant more to me than just sport.

The serious side:
training plans,
race prep,

…and then the side that turns up to the Single Speed World Championships dressed like this 😅

One of my favourite memories from racing in Ireland back in 2011.

That’s me behind the yellow suit guy, trying very hard to take the race seriously while the madness of single speed racing unfolded around me.

Because sometimes the best thing about cycling isn’t the result.
It’s the stories that stay with you afterwards.

Every mechanic knows this feeling 😅

You start the job thinking:
‘No problem, easy fix.’

Then five minutes later you uncover:
cross-threaded bolts,
random mismatched parts,
cables routed through dimensions not yet discovered by physics…
and enough grease to refloat the Titanic.

Suddenly you’re just standing there in silence questioning humanity.
