Westport artist Derval Dunford returns with the next exhibition in the Art Gallery following the success of her breathwork exhibition last Summer 🌞

Her latest work As Anáil - Out of Breath will open on Thursday 25th June at 7.30pm by Dr Tony Bates, Clinical Psychologist and bestselling author. This unique exhibition is an audio-visual bilingual and breathwork based creation dedicated to the late John Dunford who masterminded traditional Irish musician Sharon Shannon's career and co-produced the Waterboys' Fisherman's Blues Album.

All welcome! This exhibition will run until July 19th

A huge thanks to Anto OBrien for launching his book ‘The Mayo Mandalas’ in our bookshop on Saturday night.
To Tricia Hudson for an incredibly, articulate and insightful introduction speech.
And to the huge crowd of supporters we were delighted with the buzz of the evening. We had a great time chatting books with many of you.
This book which includes stunning photos of the mandalas created by Anthony, in their Mayo landscape. It also includes some beautiful poetry documenting the “soul” journey the mandalas represent.
More copies in stock (we almost sold out on the night!).

Gliff by Ali Smith is this year's winner of the Dublin Literary Award.

“See what a simple line, a visible mark of the utmost simplicity and cheapness, can do to a populace? She said. I watched the crowd sway like foliage in sea round submerged rock face.”

An important read in today’s distorted political climate, Gliff treads the red line between reality and dystopia carefully. With themes of technology and loyalty, Gliff carries an air of youthful hope and curiosity that guarantees all will be well.
