This wee book was privately printed by Beatrix potter herself in December of 1902, due to being rejected multiple times by publisher Beatrix Potter decide to print a small print run of 500 copies and sell them to family and friends. The only books of hers that she privately printed were “The Tales of Peter Rabbit” and this book “The tailor of Gloucester” which was also her personal favourite of her stories. The book was changed considerably for the trade copy when she managed to get it published a year later. Its survived over 110 years and is signed and inscribed by Beatrix Potter herself :)
