I was going to tell you this by video but I don't think I’d get through it without tears!

This will probably come as a surprise to most of you, but after 20 amazing years, I have made the difficult decision to say goodbye to Greeting Cards 4 Kids and move on to a new chapter.

I’ve decided to wind down the business for several reasons. The online market has changed considerably since I started out on eBay all those years ago. I find I am spending far too many hours creating social media content and keeping everything running behind the scenes. I’ve realised it is time for me to find a better work-life balance and the time is right for me to move on.

I made this decision in January and have been preparing since then to move away from self-employment and return to full-time employment. Although saying goodbye to the business after so many years has not been easy, I know it is the right decision for me and I am looking forward to the opportunities ahead.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to you as a customer and supporter of my business over the years. It has been a privilege to be part of your family occasions from christenings and birthdays right up to confirmations and sometimes beyond.

What happens next:
• Website Closure: The website will officially close on Friday 19th June 2026 and any orders placed up until then will be processed as normal. Early ordering is recommended where possible.

• Occasional Facebook/Instagram Orders: After the website closes, I may still be able to take on a small number of occasional orders through Facebook/Instagram. Orders can only be posted on Saturdays, so please allow plenty of time if you need something.

I was asked to design some of my products with a 'Summer I turned thirteen' beach theme. This photo shows an A2 sign, birthday card, cake topper, Lidl bar wrappers, wine bottle label and wafer cupcake toppers.

I really enjoyed creating this design for my lovely customer Annemarie. It was a nice break from the weeks of communion items 😄
