Teresa Doyle Bespoke Dolls & Craft Teresa Doyle is an Irish artist who lives in rural North Westmeath, Ireland. After a decade of livin I am adding to my collection of bespoke items.

We store and hold onto precious items; baby clothes, the school uniform, a man's cap, a grandad's overcoat. They can be moved from house to house, press to drawer, from wardrobe to box. "I receive some of these thoughtfully selected items and create a doll that combines their fabrics and memories. I am using my skills in art and craft and my ability to conne

ct with people, to transform these items into a family heirloom which stores sentiment and evokes memories." I make dolls for many Occasions including Birthdays, Memorial, Graduation, Retirement, Anniversaries, Family Doll, Bride to Be
and Special Occasions. These include Cushions, a Christmas Selection and Fabric Bags.

A lovely story out of ‘the blue’.

On a week’s vacation in Ireland,
all the way from Marshfield Missouri,
after a few days search and some good detective work, then came a phone call to me.

So bright and early this morning, after driving down especially from Dublin, I met with Chelsea and her husband at The Mullingar Park Hotel, so they could buy a genuine,authentic, hand crafted Irish Doll for their daughter. It was an absolute pleasure to meet them both before they return to America tomorrow.
I wish them a safe journey home and I hope their little girl loves her Irish Doll that was made in Co.Westmeath.

Today as part of ‘Threads of Place’ a sensory led Tour & Workshop, this is a collaboration between An Luan Gallery, Athlone Castle and Abbey Road Studios. Thank you to the wonderful children that took part, to Aoife, Lynda and Tess at A Luan and to Joanna, Davina and Mae at Athlone Castle. It was a real pleasure at facilitate this part of the project.👏👏
