Participants do not have to be on a social welfare payment and participation does not affect the payments of those who are in re

Financial Accountant required for a large Irish retail company with their head office based is West Dublin.

The role will be primarily based in their head office premises in West Dublin.

The job will involve in the ensuring correct financial control processes are in place along with the timely preparation of the monthly Management Accounts and the Annual Financial Statements.

The ideal candidate will (among other things):

Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years experience in an accountancy role
Have advanced excel skills and general MS Office experience, with having experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 a distinct advantage
Have the ability to work in fast paced environment
Have the ability to multi task and be a team player
Be enthusiastic and energetic with a "can do" attitude
Your main responsibilities and objectives will be (among other things):

To work with Finance Director to ensure that appropriate controls are in place across key Operational areas of the business
The timely preparation of monthly Management Accounts and the Annual Financial Statements, monthly Journal posting and financial reporting
Assisting with the year-end financial close including some liaising with external auditors
The preparation of standard CSO forms where required
Taking ownership of the Bank reconciliations process including overview of bank postings and assisting in the preparation of cashflow analysis
Assisting in the bedding in of new financial system including ensuring implementation of all relevant controls
Preparing various Balance Sheet reconciliations
