The Newport Sea Angling Club Competition dates for the 2025 season are as follows:
*29/6/25 - National Junior Competition - Daniel Peacock Memorial Competition
Novice category. ( Beginners)
(8 - 13 yrs category and 14 -18 yrs
*2 - 3/8/25 - Newport SAC Festival Boat Competition -
*21/9/25 - Newport SAC Interpub Team Challenge Boat Competition sponsored by J. Coffey (date TBC).

Well.. What can I say!! its hard to believe the shop is now closed almost two weeks, Its been a crazy few days. I'd like to say a massive THANK YOU!!!!! To everyone who supported me throughout the last 9 years, particularly my wonderful husband Matt who always loved helping out in the shop, A special Thanks to Mum Dad Lorraine and Dee for always been there to help, and the rest of my family for all the visits and encouragement, . Last but not least, To Sean & Mary Keane, and all at Keane's butchers, They've been the best neighbours and friend a girl could ever need, They always looked after us all so well, A massive THANK YOU to everyone who sent cards and gifts and flowers, all the amazing well wishes for my future, You've no idea how much I'm going to miss being in the heart of Newport. I'll miss opening them doors at 10am (or close to 10am) having the chats and the laughs, debating all the political topics of the week, I've met some truly amazing people, some who are now life long friends, we've had such fun through the years and the best of laughs, and even the strangest of times, like covid!!! But as they say
"all good things must come to an end" So now I must bid you all..... I don't wanna say goodbye, but SEE YA LATERS!!!
