On Monday evening 10th August the Rosslare Burrow Traditional Sprit Sail Cot Race will take place at 5pm, weather permitting.
These traditional sails date back over 100 years, and were the rig used by Wexford and Rosslare cots. A big advantage was that when the wind dropped, the fishermen could easily drop the sail and row home.
This is the first sprit sail race in many years and is open to all cots with sprit sails (handicap may apply).
We look forward to welcoming you all to Rosslare Burrow on Monday evening.
