An opportunity to buy Eamon Colman.
Image 1 In the Morning the Cloud Tree Sang a Song of Joy to the World. Image 2 On the Day the Owl had a Conversation with the Sun. Eamon Colman born in Dublin 1957 and an elected member to Aosdána for his major contribution to Irish culture.
Colman gives voice to an encounter, his subjects snoring owls, trees, rivers or rain through use of paint and colour. The experiential feeds his painting as an elaboration of nature itself felt through his imagination.

Felt Chair Mats by Leiko Uchiyama. Originally designs by Leiko for her studio chair. Very comfortable she tells me. Leiko has worked with felt for last 30 years. Before this she was an agricultural student studying sheep reproduction. After a year working on a sheep farm in New Zealand she became the first professional female sheep shearer in Japan. She finds felting inspiring not least for its simplicity, transforming wool fibres into 2 and 3-dimensional objects through the simple addition of soapy water and hand friction. Also, for its ancient heritage. Sheep have the longest history of domestication, supporting our food, shelter and clothes. Felting is one of the oldest textile techniques.

Felt bowls by Leiko in natural brown and royal blue. Beautiful colour combination, the earthiness of brown with vivid blue. Unsure why these colours together prove so beautiful. A sudden jolt, the discovery of lapis lazuli in rock. Or deep blue sky against mountains.
