Beannachtaí Lá Fhéile Bríde 2025

Today is the 1st of February, the feast day of Saint Brigid, today officially marks the first day of Spring, longer, brighter and warmer days awaits.

With so many customs associated with this feast day, it is tradition to hang a St. Brigid Cross above your door to protect the household against all danger. The crosses are woven together using rushes to create a cross.

Today we welcome Spring with open arms and look forward to welcoming everyone visiting Westport this year.
