God our Father, please guide those of us who are fathers to care for our families with your wisdom. Strengthen us in the daily challenges of parenting. Give us the fruits of your spirit: love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. And Lord, we pray for those who are fatherless or face challenging family situations. For those who find Father’s Day difficult. We praise you as our source of peace and comfort.

The holiday of Pentecost is coming up and with it, we commemorate the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and other followers of our Lord and Savior while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks. Many Christian denominations provide a special liturgy for this holy celebration. WHISPERINGS OF THE POPE VISITING JERUSALEM IN JUNE:
We pray the news is true...it has been said that Pope Francis will be heading to the Holy Land next month. He last visited Israel in May 2014, including stays in Jerusalem and Bethlehem, a stop at the West Bank security barrier, as well as a visit to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial. Light a holy candle with us to welcome his blessed arrival.

The Vatican is studying the possibility of extending Pope Francis' trip to Lebanon in June so he can fly to Jerusalem to meet there Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill, who has backed Russia's war in Ukraine, two sources told Reuters on Monday.
