About Yoram Sivan

Yoram Sivan, Israel's most experienced Didgeridoo maker, specializes in hand-crafted, originally designed Didgeridoos, Compact-Didges and overtone flutes. Yoram is an accomplished designer, with over 20 years of experience, specializing in wood crafting and processing techniques. He was one of the founders of the Israeli Didgeridoo scene, and through his work as the artistic man

ager of the Israeli Didgeridoo festival, he is also involved in the global Didgeridoo and overtone music scenes. Yoram's classical music training, as well as his vast knowledge in the fields of harmonious and overtone music set the high standard of quality of sound that all of our instruments adhere to. Yoram’s collection of instruments embodies a unique combination of the highest quality of sound with exceptional designs, offering you a Didgeridoo experience of a lifetime. About The Didgeridoo

The aboriginal didgeridoo (didjeridoo, dijeridu, yidaki) is a long, wooden wind instrument used traditionally by the aboriginal people of Northern Australia. Rock paintings on caves have established that the didgeridoo has been used as a musical instrument for at least 20,000 years. To the Aborigines, the didgeridoo was a sacred instrument whose soothing drone would help to get them in touch with the ancestors, forces of nature, and the spirits of Dreamtime. It was also used to aid in hunting, and in Aboriginal ceremonial performances. Traditionally, it is made from tree trunks and branches, usually eucalyptus, hollowed out by termites. Branches cut into varying lengths produce instruments with different pitches. The mouthpiece is usually made of beeswax or resin. Many Australian didgeridoos are painted using traditional paints by either their maker or a dedicated artist. The sound of the didgeridoo can be very powerful, often inducing a trance state in the player as well as the listener. Beyond its significant role in the experimental and tribal music scene, in recent years it has also been used or incorporated into various healing techniques. In these healing processes, the player is the healer, but the actual playing was found to have tremendous self-healing value, especially to increasing internal listening and focus, as well as breathing relief. About Our instruments – Didgeridoos

At its very core, a Didgeridoo is a wooden pipe. What enables this pipe to produce deeper, richer sounds, are the various techniques that are used in designing and shaping its form, inside and out. We believes that meticulous attention to design details can eventually make any type of tree branch into a quality instrument, and therefore apply modern wood crafting techniques to create handmade individual instruments with a signature wooden mouthpiece for easier playing and maintenance. Environmentally friendly, we mostly collect various pruned tree-branches such as Eucalyptus, Oak, Indian Rosewood, Olive and many more, to make our didgeridoos. About Our instruments – Compact Didges and Snake Didg
A compact didg is a long "folded" Didgeridoo, also known as a "Didjbox". This version of didg is smaller, lighter and easier to carry, and is considered to be the "traveler version" of the Didgeridoo. The original Didgbox was first created by Marco Johnson (USA), who actually created a box-shaped compact didgeridoo. Inspired by his work, Yoram has created several signature designs of the compact didj over the years. His guiding principles have always been creating the beautiful designs, that can be easily carried and played, without compromising the quality of sound.
…so however small, you can rest assured that all of the instruments in this category meet our high standards of sound and design, and in fact offer the best sound quality available in the compact Didjeridoos market today. About Our instruments – Overtone Flutes

Overtone flute refers to a type of a flute that is designed to play in the upper harmonics, typically well above the two or three harmonics that are the practical limit for most woodwind instruments. Overtone flutes are very easily and naturally played, possibly because the melody is created by the player’s body and the intensity of their breathing. Our Overtone flutes do not have tone holes, but their tone can be easily changed by the intensity of the air blown into the flute. Another way of changing the tone is covering the end of the flute. As with our didgeridoos, modern wood crafting techniques come together with Yoram’s vast knowledge in the fields of harmonious and overtone music to design and create these handmade individual instruments, with special attention to design details and the quality of sound.
