Today is the 91st yahrzeit of Rav Avraham Yitzchak HaKohen Kook z"l.

He was a mystic, a halakhist, a poet and the first Ashkenazi chief rabbi of the Land of Israel, and he wrote about the Land, about Shemitta, about a people returning home, when almost none of it had happened yet.

He saw holiness in Jews who did not yet see it in themselves, and he never wrote anyone out of the story.

His teaching continues for anyone who opens one of his sefarim.

Today is the first yahrzeit of Rabbi Berel Wein z"l.

For 60 years he taught the centuries of Jewish history that almost no one was teaching, in shiurim and in sefarim, to talmidim and to beginners alike.

He gave that history back to a generation that had never been offered it, and never made anyone feel small for what they had not yet learned.

His teaching continues for anyone who opens one of his sefarim.

We're proud to partner with Nefesh B'Nefesh's Zionist Education Initiative on the first textbook on Zionism created specifically for Jewish high school students in the Diaspora.

Last week, 12 educators from Jewish schools across the U.S. and Canada spent five days in Israel preparing to bring the new curriculum to their classrooms this fall.

We've been connecting the Diaspora to Israel through Torah and tefillah since 1961. Hatzlacha to the fellows and their students. We can't wait to see this in classrooms.

Today, on the 27th of Tammuz, we mark the yahrzeit of Rabbi Yehuda Amital zt”l.

Rabbi Amital was one of the leading voices of Religious Zionism, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Har Etzion, and a teacher whose influence reached far beyond the walls of the beit midrash. His writings, known for their intellectual depth, moral clarity, and deep compassion, continue to speak to readers today.

His books offer an opportunity to encounter his teachings and the values that shaped his life.
