I created this project for a museum of applied arts. The series, crafted in brass, copper, and aluminum, is inspired by traditional clothing from different cultures. Through similar forms, distinctive ornaments, and applied art techniques, the project explores how traditions travel through centuries, preserving each culture's story while connecting us all. It includes garments of Orthodox Jews, a Moroccan caftan, traditional Bedouin clothing, a Yemeni women's dress, and an Uzbek robe. Metal and textile, ornament and embroidery, etching and other applied art techniques come together to tell a single story, one of traditions that have survived for centuries and continue to connect people.
