sists of women and girls from underprivileged backgrounds and belong to the Muslim community. The monument of Sarkhej Roza is a 15th century Tomb shrine of the Sufi Saint Shaikh Ahmad Khattu, popularly known as ‘Ganj Baksh’ for his generosity. It is one of the oldest monuments in the city of Ahmadabad. The design motifs found in this complex are a beautiful example of Indias’ syncretic culture. The architectural style of Sarkhej Roza is a precursor to the Mughal period in a true amalgamation of Hindu, Jain and Islamic design vocabularies.
