🌸 Did you know some aquarium plants can actually flower OUTSIDE the water?

Plants like Anubias, Amazon Swords, Cryptocoryne and Aponogeton can send their flowers above the surface when given the right conditions. 🌿✨

It’s one of the coolest things about keeping aquatic plants — they can live underwater, but their flowers often emerge above the waterline!

So if your aquarium plant suddenly sends a stalk towards the surface, don’t cut it off… you might be about to see it bloom! 🌱🌸

🐟 FISH OF THE WEEK: FRONTOSA 👑

Meet the Frontosa — one of the most iconic cichlids in the aquarium hobby! 💙🤍

With its striking blue/white stripes, impressive size, and that unmistakable forehead hump, the Frontosa is a fish that commands attention in any aquarium.

🌊 Native to: Lake Tanganyika, Africa
👑 Known for: Its bold stripes, peaceful nature, and massive presence
📏 Size: Can grow to around 30–35 cm
🏠 Best for: Large, mature aquariums with plenty of swimming space

Despite their intimidating appearance, Frontosas are generally calm and slow-moving compared to many other large cichlids. They’re also highly social and are often kept in groups.

But there’s one thing to remember… this is NOT a small-aquarium fish! 😅

Aquarium Glue vs ADA Moss Cotton 🌿🧵

When it comes to attaching moss in your aquarium, you’ve got two popular options: aquarium-safe glue or the classic ADA Moss Cotton Thread.

Glue is quick, convenient, and great when you want to secure moss exactly where you want it. A tiny drop can hold a small piece in place almost instantly. But it can sometimes leave visible spots, and getting the amount right takes a little practice.

Then there’s ADA Moss Cotton Thread — a more traditional and natural-looking approach. Wrap the moss around your hardscape, secure it with the thread, and let the moss establish itself. Over time, the cotton thread gradually breaks down as the moss grows and takes over. 🌱

So which one is better?
