The last day of is called as The universal god leaves his wife alone at jagannath temple and goes for a nine-days trip with his siblings to their aunt’s place during .
This act of lord jagannath makes goddess lakshmi angry and being the controller of Sri Mandir as Sri stands for goddess lakshmi in sri jagannath temple, she does not open the gate of temple for Lord Jagannath, instead welcomed her brother and sister in laws(Balabhadra and Subhadra) when they return on Niladri Bije.

Lord Jagannath offers Rasagola as a sweet present and red pattu saree(Expensive saree) as a gift to earn her favour and to regain entry.

This culture represents the rights of a woman on her husband and also shows how the marital partnership should be handled with equal balance. The story conveys that even there could be conflicts between devi n devtas in their married life but they don't give up on their relationship instead they try their best to understand and regain each other's trust by love, respect and care.

This day is celebrated as or in Odisha.

The celebration of and welcoming in the state of . The festival which represents the liberated and progressive outlook of our ancestors.

or is a three-day-long festival and the second day signifies beginning of the solar month of Mithuna from, which the season of rains starts. It welcomes the agricultural year in Odisha, which marks, through biological symbolism, the moistening of the sun dried soil with the first showers of the monsoon in mid-June thus making it ready for productivity.

It is believed that the mother Goddess Earth  undergoes menstruation during the first three days. The fourth day is called as Vasumati gadhua or ceremonial bath of Bhudevi. The term Raja has come from Rajaswala (meaning a menstruating woman) and during medieval period the festival became more popular as an agricultural holiday remarking the worship of Basumata(mother earth).

During the three days women are given a break from household work and time to play indoor games. Girls adorn traditional saree and apply alatha on foot. All people abstain from walking barefoot on earth. People play a lot of indoor and outdoor games. Girls reach on to and hammocks, women also play and . Villages have Kabbadi matches for young men. People eat podopitha.

A country where it is very common to shun women from social life when they are menstruating, Odisha stands out

A salute  to our ancestors for introducing such a tradition of portraying our mother earth as a female and embracing her feminine energy.  Their liberal outlook is making them way ahead of their time.

Savitri, d woman who challenged n changed her fate.

Savitri ws d only child of her father who was a king. She was the most beautiful and intelligent girl of her time. When it came time for her marriage, she had no suited groom because all d men around her were intimidated by her beauty n her sharp mind. Then her father asked her to search her own life partner.
In this process, she fell in love wid Satyavan, a prince whose father had been lost his kingdom and living in poverty in the forest.
Savitri’s father opposed this marriage not only bcoz Satyavan ws poor but also he ws destined to die widin a year of marriage.
Despite of all odds, Savitri had chosen to marry Satyavan with great will power and positivity.

After a year of happy married life at d appointed hour, Yama, d god of death appeared and took Satyavan’s soul with him, but Savitri followed him n refused 2 go back without satyavan, so yama offered her four boons one by one, so that she would go back, “Anything except d life of her husband.”
Savitri asked 2 boons for her father-in-law and one for her father and as last boon, she asked to be a mother of Satyavan’s 100 sons. After granting all four boons, Yamraj realised that he had granted her the last boon wrongly. As custodian of d laws of karma, his boons had to be realized. The only way for Savitri to bear Satyavan’s children ws to make Satyavan alive again n so it happened.

We are told 2 believe that Yama gave Satyavan's life back only bcoz Savitri ws so devoted, she ws willing to follow her husband even in to yamlok. This single wifely virtue made her husband alive again.
But as scripture said from the beginning, Savitri ws d most unusual woman of her time, she ws not only beautiful, learned, determined but also independent, strong-minded n fearless.

She challenged her fate n chose 2 follow her mind n heart n as a result defeated d devta of death wid her arguments n cleverly worded boon — it is her iron will, her intellect n her quick wit that Yama honoured n gave Satyavan back.

Goutam budha the Enlightened one.

Gautama Buddha preached Dharma (duty), non violence, harmony and kindness. He left his worldly possessions and princedom at the age of 29 to lead a life searching for the truth, seeking penance in the hopes of liberating himself from suffering (duhkha).
A common presentation of the core structure of Buddha's teaching found in the early texts is that of the Four Noble Truths. This teaching is most famously presented in the Dhammacakkappavattana Sutta ("The discourse on the turning of the Dharma wheel") and its many parallels. This is also referred to as a middle path. The basic outline of the four truths is as follows:

There is dukkha.

There are causes and conditions for the arising of dukkha. Various conditions are outlined in the early texts, such as craving , but the three most basic ones are greed, aversion and delusion.

If the conditions for dukkha cease, dukkha also ceases. This is "Nirvana" (literally 'blowing out' or 'extinguishing').

There is a path to follow that leads to Nirvana.

Mostly Goutam Budha promoted the concept of sunya.. void.Until he died at the age of 80, Buddha taught many people how to achieve enlightenment. His doctrines eventually became what is known as Buddhism.

Narasimha Avatar..... Manifestation of mother nature's super power and correct balance.
According to Puranas, Hiranyakashyap was a demon king and devotee of lord Bramha. Once lord Brahma was pleased with Hiranyakashyap’s devotion, and granted him the boon through which the demon could neither be killed by a man nor by an animal; neither at day nor at night; neither at home nor outside; neither on the ground nor in the sky; neither by a weapon nor by supernatural powers.
Getting such a boon, Hiranyakashyap had believed that the boon would make him immortal.
The demon king was so confident about his immortality that he had started forcing everyone in teeno lok to worship him in place of god. The egoistic demon king had started to rule mother nature and tried destroying the balance of life. He had tried killing his son Prahallad as he was the devotee of lord Vishnu.
He had assumed that the world is made up of two divisions like true/false, yes/no, this and that, day and night, white and black, zero and one, but he was unaware that mother nature has its own set of rules.
We humans can only predict nature and the universe but no one in this world has the capability to manipulate the way of life or super power of mother nature.
Hence,to establish the balance of life and teach this power, lord vishnu appeared as a half-man-half-lion, Narasimha avatar in his 4th incarnation. He killed Hiranyakashyap at dusk at the threshold of his house by making him lie on his lap and executing him with his claws.
Narasimha had revealed to mankind that the world is not made up of only two divisions. Mother nature's super power is beyond every rule book.
Mother nature is so powerful that it can correct any imbalance on its own.
Now, we can very much connect with the fact that mother nature is beyond all our capabilities and it definitely changes its own rule book which is always beyond our assumption.
May god bless us strength to surrender in front of mother nature and go back to simplicity
