Dhi presents "An Art Appreciation Talk Series on ‘Understanding Abstract Art" with Trishna Patnaik.
This talk series focuses on the historical development of abstract art in the context of modernism in Western art. Several important Modernist Movements in Europe such as Impressionism, Expressionism and Cubism leading to the Abstract Art movement will be explored.
The impact of Abstract Expressionism movement in America and Europe and its key figures such as Monet, Cezanne, Jackson Po***ck, De Kooning and Rothko will be highlighted as well.
This will be a weekender Art Series (Saturday and Sunday) Time Duration: two hours per day.
Date: 11th July and 12th July, 2020 Timings: 11 am to 1 pm
Day one topics: Impressionism & Expressionism
Day two topics: Cubism & Abstract Art
(with Abstract Expressionism been briefed during the session)
Session conducted through google meet.
