Kora Compost

Kora Compost Community based initiative to generate wealth off waste, converting leaves into organic compost. The staff are the heart and soul of this program.

This composting program is an initiative started by the Koramangala 3rd Block Residents Welfare Association. With support from local residents, the unit started operations in January 2013 in the neighbourhood playground. All the leaf droppings from the tree rich locality have been processed locally since then saving 100s of loads of waste disposed to a landfill. The effort has been overseen by pas

sionate residents and the residents association with monetary support and more importantly dedicating time every day to oversee setup and operations. The compost is produced by a team of gardners who are experts in this area and have been using this rich source of manure traditionally.
