Kotpad, is named after the village itself. Using kodpad fabric in these few Indo-Western pieces that I have made I tried to showcase the Jhoti or Chita, which the women of Odisha make in the month of Margashir (November) to invite and welcome goddess of wealth Laxmi to bring home prosperity, they draw these in the close vicinity and inside the house. With this through my designs I want to showcase that every woman is Goddess Lakshmi herself. This beautification with a cultural thought makes every piece of my design more unique and meaningful.
