We truly enjoyed every step of making this dress - too many brunch dates happened during this 🤣

Out of the collection, this dress captured exactly how we were feeling at the time we made this - summery, breezy and light. We wanted to revisit that feeling today, although it's cold as ice and dark as the game of thrones - dance of the dragons episode.

For everyone who has been asking us, why we have been inactive here, thank you. You helped us find our joy back, our journey back.

We had take a long mental health break. As mothers of young toddlers, who live outside the country and manage the business remotely, as women who also have another full time jobs, as human beings with ups and downs, somewhere in this mess, we lost the joy.

We succumbed to the pressure of profits, inventory updates, social media views and reels and sales and new ideas and production and money.

We took a break, to find joy - in simple things like a beautifully done sleeve, a pocket that fits our phones and the smiles of our toddlers.

We are back! With joy, josh and love!

"It was not the privileges or the lack of them that created Jhop. It was the never-ending passion of two ambitious women. The journey began in 2016, when we had our first discussion, where we exchanged a lot of ""Let us do something about it” and enthusiastic hugs. But even then, it took us another 6 years to actually start our business. Yep, everything has its own time!

Both of us are not from business families. Neither did we have such mentors to hand-hold us throughout. What we were blessed with though is our families, who despite being unsure of our new path simply decided to stand with us while we figured our way through this entrepreneurial journey, Took care of our kids when we were busy negotiating with the vendors and encouraged us to dream bigger.

We took it one day at a time, Fighting our self doubts and mom guilt at every step. We kept working till we got what we wanted. We kept believing in ourselves.

So if you are out there, having been planning your dream, your ambition, your passion for a while and wondering if it will ever happen, trust us, IT WILL. Do your bit and relax. Time will bring things to you, for sure."

The discomfort in their words has made us think about why we even have such labels on our clothes. If my bust size is 36, it means my bust size is 36. Who decides whether it is small, medium, or large? And who decides what is extra? Unless we have a preconceived concept of ideal size, we wouldn’t be calling the rest of it extra, right?
