Before heritage spaces became popular to showcase exclusive products, there was, and still is Raintree Bangalore. They set the stage and standard, from restoration of the old structure , the maintenance, the minimalist approach to design and then the curation of product. All of it complimenting, and beautifully blending in with the old heritage house. For us at Silkworm Boutique, it feels like home. We are happy to be back … July 11th and 12th! The pedestrian plaza on khader nawaz khan road. No street parking, but we have parking for our customers inside Gems Court, where we are located. Drop by … it’s a pleasant place to walk around.

and the art of lounge. This is Geeta Patti’s pet cat, Azhagi. She reigns supreme over and adjoining properties. Usually poised, gracious… and not easy to befriend. But here she is, looking not so stately and regal.

ps: I do have a collection of sarees that aren’t for sale. Acquired over time, from weavers and artists that are no longer around, these pieces do not qualify as sarees anymore, they are now pieces of art.
