West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the 49th International Kolkata Book Fair at Salt Lake’s Central Park Mela Ground, acknowledging committee efforts, welcoming global participation including Argentina’s ambassador, and highlighting wide-ranging cultural, educational and technological themes. The fair, featuring over 1,100 stalls with 20 countries, will run until February 3 with free entry.
