Catch one of April’s most consistent meteor shows lighting up the night sky. The Lyrids meteor shower peaks now, offering up to 20 meteors per hour under clear, dark skies.

Originating from debris left behind by Comet C/1861 G1 Thatcher, these fast streaks appear to radiate from the Lyra constellation—but you can spot them anywhere overhead.

Step outside after midnight, give your eyes time to adjust, and just look up.

A rare 4-planet view is happening this week.

From April 16–23, Mercury, Mars, Saturn and Neptune will be visible in the same morning sky. Best days: April 18–20.

Step out 30–40 minutes before sunrise and look towards the east. A clear horizon will help.

Mars and Saturn are easy to spot. Mercury will be low and faint. Neptune needs binoculars or a telescope.

It’s a short viewing window each day, so timing matters.

A stunning cosmic masterpiece, the Trifid Nebula is a rare blend of three celestial wonders in one frame—an emission nebula glowing red from ionized hydrogen, a reflection nebula shining blue from scattered starlight, and dark nebula lanes that dramatically divide it into three distinct lobes. Located in the constellation Sagittarius, this stellar nursery is a region where new stars are being born, making it both a visual delight and a window into the universe’s ongoing creation.

Telescope: 80 ED Triplet with 30mm william optics guide scope
Camera: ASI 533Pro and ASI 224 guide camera
Mount: IOptron CEM26
Filters: Optolong L-pro for stars / L Ultimate
Taken by: .cosmic.wanderer

A total of total 5 hrs exposures were captured, all calibrated with darks, biases, and flats.

Location: Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh.

Processing of the final image was completed in PixInsight and Adobe Photoshop.

Artemis II marked a major milestone in human spaceflight.
Astronauts traveled farther from Earth than any crew before, making one of the closest approaches to the Moon since Apollo 17.
From launch to splashdown, the mission validated systems for future lunar exploration.

Unlike the Apollo program, this mission focused on building a foundation for repeated and sustainable lunar exploration.

The April full moon has a name that confuses almost everyone.
No, it doesn’t actually turn pink. The “Pink Moon” comes from early spring blooms on Earth, not a color change in the sky.
Watch it rise at full brightness — a seasonal marker you can spot from almost anywhere with clear skies.

You’re not standing still — you’re moving through space right now.

The Sun is constantly orbiting the Milky Way at nearly 220 km/s, taking around 225–230 million years to complete one full orbit — known as a galactic year.

And it’s not a flat path. The Solar System travels at an angle, moving slightly above and below the galaxy’s plane as it goes.

So every moment, you’re part of a massive cosmic journey — even if it doesn’t feel like it.
