‘Kundan - The Golden Parrot’ is a fiction novel for children wherein stories relate to a period when India was divided into many kingdoms. The book takes us through the journey of a prince in ancient India who has been cunningly separated from his wife and kingdom and has been trapped in the body of a golden parrot. Kundan - the golden parrot, is the protagonist who has the soul of a wise and just

prince and who narrates stories in a king’s court towards dispensation of justice. The stories are interwoven with magic and involve varied characters including kings, queens, prince, princesses, sages, fairies, demons, witches, wizards, animals and birds. All shades of human life like love, sacrifice, bravery, wisdom, laughter, rewards, happiness as well as treachery, cowardice, hate, obsession, punishment and sadness can be found embedded in the stories.
