📘🖋️➿🖋️📘.. *SCARCE Author Signed Copy of the book _”FRACTURED COMMUNITIES- Adivasi Histories & the Politics of Power”_ by Umar Khalid, Pub. by Juggernaut Books, 2026, Forward by Ramachandra Guha, (349 Pgs).*

*Note:* The work was submitted as a PHD thesis at the Centre of Historical Studies, in 2018, at JNU. and is on the history of the Adivasi tribes of the Singhbhum region of Jharkhand under extraordinary circumstances, under the British Rule.

Since then, it has garnered significant attention among scholars and historians. *Ramachandra Guha* has called it ‘one of the most accomplished doctoral dissertations by an Indian that I have read’, while *Nandini Sundar* described it as a ‘deeply insightful’ work by a ‘brilliant mind’.

📗👤📗👤📗.. *A VERY RARE copy 1st Authorized English Edition in 1947 in India (after it was banned for 37 years) titled _”THE INDIAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE; National Rising of 1857”_ by VD SAVARKAR, (487 Pgs)*

*Imp Note:* The actual first Edition was in 1909 and was *an underground publication* (hurriedly translated from the Marathi version by Sarvarkar), published in secrecy from the Netherlands and smuggled to various locations with fake misleading dust jackets of titles like _”Pickwick Papers”_ etc. to avoid confiscation (due to the British ban imposed on it) . This edition as well as two others were printed in small numbers *and almost impossible to get copies of.*
The Editions before 1947 *had no Publication details, no name of VD Sarvarkar, nor any images, to conceal all identity.* and just had a line _*”by an Indian Nationalist”*_ The blue monochrome image of Savarkar, (captioned as ‘The Prince of Indian Revolutionaries’) other images, & his name *was published only in the 1947 edition for the 1st time.*

*Condition:* Rebound in green cloth binding, with title tab on cover & spine. Insides are in excellent condition.

*Size:* 7.5 x 5 x 1 inches (approx)

*Ref Prices:* The 1909 Signed Edition sold for *$ 20,000/-.* Unsigned copies are valued between *$ 4500/- to $ 8000/-* (ie. Rs 4,36,000/- to 7,76,000/-) *& mostly not available*

📽️🎞️📽️🎞️📽️.. *Prized & much sought after, Extremely RARE Original Vintage SATYAJIT RAY movie poster of one of the greatest films ever made , _PATHER PANCHOLI (1955)._*

This is Not a Reproduction but *an actual surviving publicity poster of Satyajit Ray’s stellar directorial debut,* unanimously regarded as his finest film, (in Bengali), directed by him & produced by the then government of West Bengal. The cult film is *based on Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyaya’s 1929 bengali novel* of the same name.

Following its premiere in the mid 1955 *at New York’s Museum of Modern Art,* _”Pather Pancholi”_ was later released in Calcutta the same year. Printed & circulated during the Calcutta release of the film (somewhere in mid 1950s) , *this is one of the rarest “Satyajit Ray” film posters for sale that one can buy.*
