अब डायरी के पन्नों की जगह फेसबुक ने ले ली है. इंटरनेट के तीव्र विस्तार ने चर्चा के लिए फेसबुक जैसे सोशल प्लेटफॉर्म उपलब्ध करा दिए हैं. यह उतना ही सुलभ, कनेक्टिव और दोतरफा संवाद है, जितना कि हिंदी साहित्य की दुनिया बंद होती थी. जाहिर है सोशल मीडिया पर अपनी अभिव्यक्ति युवाओं का आधुनिक शगल है. तभी तो 2014 में भारत में फेसबुक के एक्टिव यूजर्स की संख्या 10 करोड़ पार कर गई. आखिर इस युवा जमात तक हिंदी के प्रकाशक पहुंचे कैसे? उनके दिल और मिजाज को लुभाएं कैसे?
सोशल मीडिया ने अपने सेलिब्रेटी भी गढ़े हैं. सेलिब्रेटीज तक उनके फैन्स की पहुंच भी आसान की है. शायद हिंदी प्रकाशक इसी राह से पाठकों की नई जमात को जोड़ने की उम्मीद रखते हैं. हिंदी में साहित्य के सामंतों का दौर रहा है. अब सेलिब्रेटी दौर के आगाज की कोशिश की जा रही है. कुछ ऐसी ही कोशिश नजर आती है रवीश की 'इश्क में शहर होना' में. किताब में कथित तौर पर लघु प्रेम कथाएं हैं, जिन्हें लेखक-प्रकाशक शॉर्ट में लप्रेक कह रहे हैं. किताब में लेखक का परिचय भी काफी कुछ कह देता है, रवीश की रिपोर्ट वाले रवीश कुमार.
