INSIDE STORY | When Colour Becomes Art
I have always loved playing with the colours of precious and semi-precious stones. Colour mesmerises me—every shade has its own personality, beauty and character. The real art lies in knowing how to balance and place each colour perfectly.

Beyond my signature Minakari work, I have created many designs inspired by precious stones. This antique-inspired set began with my fascination for a magnificent green emerald.
Assamese traditional jewellery has always celebrated the beauty of uncut rubies, diamonds and emeralds. Inspired by that heritage, I imagined an antique jewellery set where the emerald becomes the soul of the design.

A timeless piece that beautifully blends colour, heritage and contemporary elegance—perfect with a saree, Mekhela Chador, Indo-Western or Western attire.

Inside Story

Motormoni has always been an integral part of traditional Assamese jewellery. It is an age-old accessory that our grandmothers, mothers and aunts wore as a beautiful chain, often paired with a traditional Assamese pendant.

I wanted to take that familiar Motormoni, with all its memories and emotions, and give it a new identity. This time, instead of using it only as a chain portion, I have transformed it into the heart of a bridal jewellery set.

For me, designing is not about leaving the past behind. It is about carrying our heritage forward and giving it a new artistic expression.Every little bead of Motormoni reminds me of the women of our earlier generations—their elegance, their traditions, and the beautiful way they carried Assamese culture with pride.

An old tradition, reimagined for the modern Assamese bride. ❤️
