If you use oil perfume, please stop doing this. You’re wasting your perfume. 😂

Let’s talk about perfume oils because I’ve seen people apply perfume and then wonder why the scent disappears so quickly.

First, let’s talk about what you SHOULD do.

✨ Apply your perfume oil to moisturised skin.

Dry skin can make fragrance fade faster, so applying a little unscented moisturiser first can help the fragrance sit on your skin better.

✨ Apply it to your pulse points.

Think wrists, behind your ears, neck and inner elbows. These areas are naturally warm, which can help the fragrance develop nicely.

✨ Give the perfume time.

Please don’t apply perfume and immediately start rubbing it like you’re trying to finish a task. 😂

Let it sit on your skin and develop naturally.

Now, the DON'Ts.

❌ Don't rub your wrists together after applying perfume.

Just apply and leave it. Rubbing can change how the fragrance develops on your skin.

❌ Don't pour half the bottle on yourself.

More perfume doesn't automatically mean better. 😂

Start with a small amount and build up if necessary.

❌ Don't apply perfume oil to irritated or broken skin.

If your skin is sensitive, patch test first and follow the product's instructions.

And one more thing people sometimes forget...

WHERE you keep your perfume matters too.

Don't leave it sitting in direct sunlight or beside serious heat. Keep your perfume somewhere cool and away from direct light.

So before you conclude,

“Abeg, this perfume oil no dey last.” 😂

Check how you're actually using it.

Sometimes the perfume isn't the problem.

It's the application.
