Betrayal is a normative reaction to what?
(Today with the advancement of technology an action which was considered an egregious vice has been conditioned to subjectivity.)
Do I know myself? If I had to travel to the hinterland of my desire would I compromise on my core principles? Is it even a Core principle if it is eclipsed by my desires, or is it just a peripheral one?
These are a few of the many consequential lines of thinking provoked in me after reading Ana Magdalena's decisions.

Reading "Until August" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez was like watching the scene from The Black Swan where Nina loses innocence and can't physically dance the part of White Swan anymore. After marking their ineradicable elegance in their past performances both Gabriel and Nina in this book and that particular scene respectively could neither develop nor sustain their art. The whole visual idea gave me anxiety throughout, and I think you will be able to relate once you read the book.

This book took me back in time to when an illustrative book would overstimulate my brain, getting to read stories with illustrations was everything for a Child who loved reading and sketching. Watercolours, drawing books, comics and storybooks were luxuries my parents couldn't afford, so, I used to run to the school library with a pencil and a paper. I would spend the first 15 minutes reading and then switch to drawing. In those 30 minutes of joy, I found myself.

"Fortunately The Milk" by Neil Gaiman can open a portal through which your Child can stride through the journey of self-discovery, give your child a chance🤗. The illustrations and the storyline are spot-on.
There is no hard rule when it comes to reading, an adult can also equally enjoy this book.
The stock is limited, kindly visit Readers Realm to get your copy.

Do you want to be a Mother? Do you always wanted to be a Mother?
Is/was the choice prerogative or a compulsion?
Where do we draw the borders of our bodies and our families?

In Stil Born, Guadalupe Nettle captures the originality of motherhood, she pares back the exhaustive subject into a simple translation, she play around the emotions, confusion and despondency women experience as they walk through the labyrinth of ideas connected to a central subject 'Motherhood and Children.'

After Independence India faced a considerable amount of complex issues, and economic disparity was one of them hence redistribution of wealth had to be part of the state policy, even if the founding fathers did not want the Indian constitution to be wedded to any particular ideology the Indian economic model was based on the Soviet model. What changed?
Guha had crafted India After Gandhi to navigate us through the political, economic, and social transitions which Young India had to face. There are also mentions of pressure groups and their influence as well. As you leaf through the pages you will know how and why the paradigm of political ideology credentials of India have shifted or not!

Who does not like folktales, especially if it is narrated around the fireplace on a rainy day? 💕

Tales from Moon-Tree Land is a beautifully illustrated book on folk tales in a child-friendly language, retold by Nabanita Deshmukh and illustrated by Phidi Pulu.

Change is inevitable and modernity has surely changed the traditional and cultural dynamism of Arunachal Pradesh, let us not be run over by it. Team Tales from Moon-Tree Land has beautifully translated the folktales which are generally narrated orally into an illustrative book. Help us restore the glorious folktales of Arunachal Pradesh by grabbing your copies before they run out of stock 🤗.

Did you know there were Chinese immigrants in Assam as well? I personally thought they were limited to Kolkata. But Rita Chowdhury's 'Chinatown Days', which has as much fiction as historical facts, told me otherwise.

In one of the previous posts, we talked about how some of my favorite books are random books that I picked up from a bookstore. Chinatown Days was one such book that caught my eye when I was booksurfing at a bookstore in guwahati. It is about a second-generation Chinese girl married to an Assamese boy and their lives before and after the 1962 Indo-China war. At the heart of it is the story of how the Indian state betrayed a minority of its people, the Chinese Indians, who eventually had to fend for their own in a land that despite being theirs, had suddenly become foreign.

Which brings me to her latest novel, The Divine Sword. It has been on my TBR list since its release, and now that it has finally arrived in Readers Realm, I can't wait to start reading it.

Fun fact: Rita Chowdhury was born at Tirap in Arunachal Pradesh 😀
